Today we held our weekly campaign meeting at St. Peters Village Bakery and reached out to folks in a few municipalities.
We are always looking to expand our grassroots and fundraising efforts so if you or your friends and family are interested in helping elect someone who wishes to serve his community then please reach out to us. Simply go to our website and sign up http://www.vote4jenkins.com/signup.aspx.
After the meeting, Republican committeeman and Spring City resident and advocate took me on another tour of Spring City to meet more of the who’s who. Before we finished knocking on doors today we met folks in East Coventry, East Vincent, North Coventry, Spring City, St. Peters Village, and Warwick.

Today we found out that we have secured the top position on the Republican ballot for the upcoming Primary Election on May 18.
Having my name appear before that of the 18 year incumbent is just another advantage we have going into the election. Virtually all studies have shown that candidates listed first receive a greater number of votes than those listed afterwards.
There are other factors such as length of the ballot and name recognition but generally the candidate appearing first will enjoy a 1% to 5% increase.
What does this mean for our campaign?
We whole heartedly believe that this will just add to our victory in May. While no one can dispute we have more energy, more volunteers, and a greater concept grasp on how to fix Pennsylvania’s problems we still recognize that there are many voters in the 26th LD who do not know they have an opportunity to finally have someone represent them and not the establishment.

Please accept my gratitude for everyone who helped my campaign for Pennsylvania State Representative.
As you know, I have served my community and country my entire adult life. Now, I have identified Harrisburg as my next battlefield and am eager to bring the leadership principals and traits that I have honed in my career as a Marine.
However, there is still a lot of work ahead of us. Taking out an 18 year incumbent in less than 10 weeks requires a highly energized grassroots effort and a highly focused media campaign.
We are seeking to send two mailings, purchase signs, and print handouts for every Republican expected to vote in the Primary Election on 18 May.
I wish I could personally finance the campaign. Unfortunately, during my 6 year recall back to active duty for the war I was forced to use virtually all of my savings to keep my home.
Your contribution in any amount ($10, $25, $50, $100, etc…) will go a long way to ensure victory for every Pennsylvanian. Please go to http://www.vote4jenkins.com/donate.aspx and help me any way possible.
Thank you for your support and being a patriot.

I believe that one of the roles for a State Legislator is to push back on the federal government when they exceed their power.
It is unfortunate that the 18-year incumbent I am challenging in my own party not only has a career of dismissing our state and federal constitutions but has also outwardly refused to support state rights.
A Couple Major Examples of my incumbents Constitutional Violations
Article I Section 21. Right to Bear Arms
The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.
As a fellow Republican, it was shocking to discover that my opponent has a lifetime rating of D- and Fs with state and federal gun rights groups. As your State Representative I will finally provide the 26th Legislative District and every citizen in Pennsylvania the right to self-protection while fully upholding our constitution.
Article II Section 8. Compensation
The members of the General Assembly shall receive such salary and mileage for regular and special sessions as shall be fixed by law, and no other compensation whatever, whether for service upon committee or otherwise. No member of either House shall during the term for which he may have been elected, receive any increase of salary, or mileage, under any law passed during such term.
My opponents vote to increase his pension by 50% and later his vote and defense of an illegal 2AM pay raise and use of unvouchered expenses in 2006 show very clearly how self-interest comes before that of the taxpayer let alone our constitution. As your State representative I refuse to take the pension, healthcare, and life insurance that most in the General Assembly are illegally receiving.
When I found the website for upholding the 10th Amendment (http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com) I knew I stumbled across a dedicated group to uphold our rights and privileges.
To see the pledge I have signed please go to http://pledge.tenthamendmentcenter.com/the-signers.
As like-minded constitutionalists I believe we need to support each other. A donation of in any amount ($10, $25, $50, $100, etc…) will help me defeat someone set against our rights and privileges. If you can help please go to http://www.vote4jenkins.com/donate.aspx.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
East Coventry, PA – Today, Jonathan Jenkins has decided he take his next fight to Pennsylvania’s General Assembly.
After a 6 year recall back to active duty and just back from a tour in Iraq, Marine Gunnery Sergeant Jonathan Jenkins now sets his eyes on helping his fellow Pennsylvanians in the General Assembly.
Jonathan will be challenging a 17 year incumbent, who is also a Republican; because he believes the 26th Legislative District has not been represented.
Jonathan: “I think the choice is going to be clear for everyone in the district whether you are Republican, Democrat, or Independent. Do you want to keep someone who voted themselves a 50% pension increase when the state constitution doesn’t even allow for it? Do you want to re-elect the same guy who voted himself a 2AM pay raise and defended it? Do we want some who clearly is against gun owners rights and the right to self-protection which is evident with the F and D- lifetime ratings of every national and state group that has looked at his record? The answer is clearly no and when I walk around the 26th LD that’s exactly what I hear.”
To learn more about Jonathan please go to http://www.Vote4Jenkins.com.
To ensure Jonathan represents the Republicans in his state house district, the campaign will provide online and grassroots polling of the electorate as well as opportunities to provide opinions and ask questions.
